LifeVentures (formally known as East Wichita Shepherd's Center) was founded in 1989 by a coalition of six churches on the eastern side of Wichita, and the first Adventures in Learning program was offered in September 1990. Since that time, LifeVentures has offered three eight-week sessions per year. Enrollment is approximately 300 people and continues to grow,and our number of sponsoring congregations has grown to eleven.

LifeVentures also offers bus tours, Christmas parties and fun social activities throughout the year. Please check our Social Events and Trips page for Current activities.

LifeVentures is a member of Shepherd's Centers of America, founded in Kansas City, MO by Dr. Elbert Cole in 1972. There are over 50 Shepherd's Centers in 21 states. Five are in Kansas.
